We arrived in Eaton Rapids soon after lunchtime and went right over to my grandparents' house for a little visit before heading off to the field for Relay. My son had his lunch there and his Gigi (great-grandma) had a few surprises for him. His favorite ... a lovely chair with a reading lamp, clock, and book on a side table. It sings. It lights up. He LOVES it.

Once he finished lunch, we went to the old football field and met up with our team. Sadly, I didn't get many pictures ... my son was a bit out of sorts and needed some attention. And because the field is grass I couldn't push him in a stroller so he got to ride in his
Ergo Baby Carrier. Here we are by Uncle Craig's memorial sign ... that's Gigi on the right!

And here is a luminary in memory of my uncle. I miss him a lot.

Unfortunately, the weather was atrocious, so my mom, sister, son, and I headed home when the rain took over. It would have been nice to stay longer, but with a young man in tow it just wasn't in the cards.
Thank you to all who donated! I appreciate your help for such an important cause! Hopefully with all the money raised at this and other events, we can eradicate this devastating disease.
