The kids are really starting to get into helping celebrate people's birthdays. My sister's came just days after we got home from Florida, and the kids really pitched in to make it special.
One must, of course, wear the appropriate head gear to help wrap gifts.

Apparently Mollie thought she was the present!
Baylor looked all cute lining up the ribbon spools ... until he decided to see how long one of them was. *sigh*
After much preparation and napping, we headed out to dinner at Carrabba's and then met back up at my parents' house for dessert and presents.
Baylor had made a bunch of word scramble puzzles for Christine for her birthday. Imagine my surprise when he just went and told her exactly what he did for her ... before she even opened them up. We need to work on the element of surprise with that one.
He put a few in her card ...
... but they wouldn't all fit so he had to get another piece of paper. Oh, and he gave her all the answers too.
Mollie, for her part, just focused on the gifts, delivering them to Aunt Christine and whatnot.
And Baylor proceeded to tell her everything we got her before she opened it. She already knows what she's getting in this picture.
This one too, I believe.
My parents gave Christine a sound card for her birthday and the kids, particularly Mollie, couldn't get enough of it.
Baylor, meanwhile, was preoccupied with the ribbon from her birthday gift and thought it would make a great log puller. (We've been watching a lot of Lady and the Tramp lately.)
Mollie, growing tired of just handing Aunt Christine her gifts, decided it was time to take a ride on Aunt Christine's leg while she was opening her gifts. My little lady loves to up the degree of difficulty to any task.
Once the gifts were open, we headed to the kitchen to enjoy a little birthday song and cake. Baylor actually hung in there for the song, and I think that really made Christine's day to see him not freak out.
Ahhh, the mark of a great cake!
Nearly a month later ... happy birthday, Christine!
