Jumping Pillow

We visited Robinette's a few weeks ago and after getting cider and donuts inside, we were making our way to the car when Baylor spotted a sign that read "Jump".  It had an arrow next to it, so - being three years old and all - he decided it was best to follow the arrow.  After a couple more signs, we came upon a jumping pillow.  Basically, a big vinyl tarp filled with air and secured to the ground to make a temporary trampoline.

Who knew such a thing existed?!  Baylor still doesn't know how to jump yet, but he certainly enjoyed running on it with a spring in his step.

Of course, he was naturally drawn to the sand ... and insisted on playing with it.  *sigh*

Soon enough, though, we got him back to the pillow and got Mollie to join in as well!

There was another little boy on the pillow who was in between Baylor and Mollie in age and was an excellent jumper.  But he and Baylor ran up and down the pillow together for a short while and seemed to have fun.  (Even though Baylor thought the little boy was actually a girl.)

Mollie got in on the act a little ...

... but she mostly just stood there smiling and trying to keep her balance.

Eventually I got on the pillow to show Mollie and Baylor how to bounce, but I ended up mostly knocking all the kids over. We have a video of it, but it starts out sideways and it looks a little ... jarring.  Anyway, we had fun, it was an insane workout for me, and it wore the kids out enough to take a good nap.  Yay!
