Captiva 2011: Day Six

It's so much easier to just post one day instead of two, so that's what I'm doing.  Jealous?
The sixth day was a day of shopping.  On our way out I snapped a picture of this dude ... thank you, little lizard, for sitting still for me!

It was a pretty low-key day after the shopping was over.  Mollie wandered around the living room and snacked on Goldfish crackers.

A little napping took place here and there.

Baylor and Aunt Christine drew pictures on the iPad.

Mollie ate more fish crackers and looked adorable.

Then, of course, there was the obligatory elevator ride.  Going down!

We went for a little walk before dinner to blow the stink off of the kids.  Baylor was itching to go in the ladies' room, but I deterred him.

The hibiscuses around the pool were in full-bloom and were positively gorgeous!

Mollie got a kick out of watching her brother's antics.

And Baylor enjoyed the water fountain.

After dinner we headed out to Scoops and Slices for some ice cream.  Along the way, Mollie held Bryson's hand.  I think that my have made his day.

Once she was done holding hands, Bryson took over carrying duties for Baylor.  Unfortunately for both of them, Baylor is not a fan of being put on people's shoulders.

While everyone else enjoyed their ice cream, Mollie got a kick out of shaking Oma's bag of Mike and Ikes.

And on the way back, we had an adventure.  In the first truly "Baylor" moment of the trip, the little man spied a duck on the lawn near one of the buildings along our way back.  He crouched down a little and started sneaking around trying to find the duck in the bushes.  His efforts paid off when the duck was ferreted out and began making its escape across an open patch of grass.  We pointed it out to him and Baylor took off running!  He chased the duck for about ten yards when the duck finally took off and left him behind.  It was an awesome sight to see Baylor let go like that, and the smile left on his face was beyond priceless.

Back at the condo, we did more relaxing.

I tried taking a picture of Dad and I together, but my arms are a little short for that.

So he grabbed my camera and snapped a picture of me instead.

Baylor enjoyed the new book I bought for him, Little Florida.  We have Little Michigan and Little Maine at home, so it was nice to add to our collection with a place he has been to.

Mollie toddled around and flipped through a book or two herself.

Two days left!
