Recognizable Art

Baylor got to color with markers the other day and, for the first time, drew things that were actually recognizable!  It was exciting for me, to say the least.

First, he started off with a face.

See it?  The eyes, nose, mouth ... yellow squiggle of hair at the top.

That one is currently being displayed on the kitchen refrigerator.

Then, he asked for a purple piece of paper, and on that he drew an owl.

It was actually a rectangle to start off with, but then he informed me it was an owl.

Then he scribbled on it a little and said the owl was dirty.

Finally, he wanted a piece of paper to match a marker he had found.  Sweet pea green it is!

And on that he drew two H's.

Awesome!  Beyond awesome!

Coloring was one of my favorite things to do as a kid, and I'm so excited that Baylor might be into it too!
