Mom's Birthday Bonanza

Okay, so it wasn't quite a bonanza since both she and I came down with the stomach bug that morning. We had had grand plans to bake her a cake and then take her out to dinner at Vitale's of Ada for a scrumptious meal. But those plans quickly evolved into a much more low-key, bland-diet event. Oh well, we'll do it up right when we're both back to normal.

Anyhow, we did get to spend time together and have her open her gifts, so that's something, right?

Oh, and she helped Baylor hold Mollie!

Amalia needed a little alone time with the birthday girl, though.

And Baylor needed to change the outgoing message on their answering machine.

Dad couldn't find a place to sit that didn't have sunlight blazing in his eyes.

As we obviously didn't know she was going to be sick for her birthday, we mostly got her gifts that revolved around baking. That shiny new KitchenAid mixer is going to have to wait for better health and a more settled stomach.

Baylor got to play with cotton batting, so his day was complete.

Mollie celebrated in her usual style.

Dad still ran into trouble. Poor tall man.

Then Little B got to test the air quality nearer the ceiling. Looks like it was lovely up there!

And Mollie made a funny face when I put her in her car seat. I just love those little lips!

In spite of feeling pretty crummy, it was a good day. Hopefully we'll be able to celebrate properly soon!

Happy birthday, Mom!

Wow! I knew I felt awful, but I didn't realize how awful I looked too. Yikes! Can I have a do over birthday?
