A Year of Gratitude: Day 27 (a day late)

Today I am grateful for the times when Mollie wants to go running.  My girl isn't a walker; when we take our evening strolls in the summer, she'd much rather run ahead and have to wait for people to catch up (often while she catches her breath) than to walk along slowly.  Since she's only two-and-a-half, we can't very well let her run off by herself, so I often take that opportunity to sneak in a run and jog along side her.  It's the best thing, watching her run, right arm pumping furiously, grinning ear to ear, with the wind blowing through her hair.  Every now and then she falls, particularly in the summer when she's sporting sandals, but more and more she's becoming sure on her feet.  This morning, while we waited for our local book store to open for the day, Mollie and I did little laps by the storefront to keep warm, laughing all the way.  And it was grand.
