Today I am grateful that the teenage girl who was texting while driving through the stop sign of the crosswalk in front of Meijer today didn't hurt me or Mollie (or anyone else, for that matter, though we were the only ones around).
I am also grateful that she looked up, realized what she had done, and looked embarrassed by it. I hope she learns her lesson from it ... and I hope Mollie has it cemented in her head that we ALWAYS look both ways before crossing any street.
