In the Dog House

Inspired one day by something he saw on television, Baylor has been interested in pretending to make dog houses for a while.  The other day he asked me to make one for him, and I came up with something pretty awesome.  Using our ottoman, the two cushions from the back of our couch, and a blanket, I made something both Bob (Baylor's Pound Puppy) and the kids could enjoy.

Once we got Bob in there, Baylor wanted him to be nice and warm, so we covered him up with a blanket.  Then he got him a bowl of "water" to drink from.

He also noted that Bob needed some light, so I got his trusty flashlight so Bob wouldn't be in the dark.

Mollie was very intrigued by all the goings on.

Look at all that space Bob has!

Ooh, space enough for the little lady to actually crawl through!  (Which she did ... a lot!)

It was an awesome dog house, if I do say so myself.

She kept popping her head out of the opening, and her hair got pretty static-y in the process.

As you might have noticed, Bob has a band aid on his right leg.  Yes, he received medical attention from Dr. Baylor before he snuggled into his dog house.  But don't worry ... he's okay.

Baylor then thought Bob might need some food, so he brought his dog a few donuts.

Then they tested out the dog house's strength and stability.

Being a well-cultured dog and all, Bob needed a spot of tea before nap time.  Baylor was happy to make it for him.

I just love watching Baylor's imagination unfold, and I'm so happy (and incredibly lucky) to be around to see it  develop every day.
