Lattice, Ladles, and Lather ... Oh, My!

We had quite a day! Whew, I am exhausted just thinking about it. Here's a recap ...

We got some play time in this morning.

After his nap, my son and I went to visit my dad at his office. He works at Universal Forest Products, Inc. I highly recommend their products! My son got to test out Grandpa E's chair.

Then he checked out the composite decking and lattice. The decking brackets were of particular interest.

He even got to bang them together while Grandpa took a call from a coworker!

I know this next photo is kind of blurry, but it was so cute I had to post it. He was so excited about getting to hold the lattice color samples that he did a little dance!

After visiting Universal, we went to the grocery store to pick up ingredients for a key lime pie I'm making tomorrow. Then, we went home, dropped off the groceries, picked up stuff for Little B's dinner, and made our way to Oma and Grandpa E's house.
The little man got some more play time in before we went to dinner (Olive Garden, yum!) ... he even showed off his crouching skills.

And then he got tired.

After dinner, he tried to smack Aunt Christine's fingers with a ladle. Lucky for her, she's a little quicker than he is ... for now.

He had a lot of fun playing in the baking utensil drawer.

He even sat still for a picture with our cousin, Delaney. I just love his little "ooh" face!

As the evening drew to a close, he sat and perused a book with Aunt Christine.

Then we went home, and it was time for a bath ... banana in one's hair makes for a sticky mess, you know?

All in all it was a great, albeit tiring, day. I even snuck a half hour nap in during his nap, but I was still exhausted for most of the day. Tomorrow I am going to see my doc for a physical, so hopefully he'll have some advice for me on how I can perk up a bit. We'll see!
Good night! Sweet dreams to all!
