Beautiful day for a ballgame!
My husband let my son slobber directly into my water bottle, in efforts to get him to drink a little water. I wouldn't have minded so much if there hadn't been cheerios mixed in with the backwash.
The scouts were taking up most of the seats behind us and left our son endlessly fascinated. Every pitch, they whipped out their speed guns and apparently the ends of those guns light up when the trigger is pulled; needless to say, they were a favorite of the little man. Little B even tried to steal one of the scout's legal pad ... thank goodness the guy was pretty laid back about the whole thing!
We had a great time, but unfortunately we had to leave right before the 7th inning so we could get the little man into bed at/near his usual time. It wasn't quite the same taking our son to the game as he only wanted to squirm and get down to play (which he couldn't), so most of the time was spent corralling him and trying to keep him happy. But, like I said, we still had a great time and it was fun getting to expose him to new sights, sounds, and experiences. Hopefully we'll get to do it again soon!
